(Via near near future) traces-of-fire is an art project based on a nice concept: "tracing the movements of ten cigarette lighters tagged with transmitters to provide location and motion data frequencies." Tracking the lighters and collecting position data is achieved with the help of transmitters normally used as animal implants in wildlife habitat studies.
